My name is Cynthia Blackwood, and my childhood community in the hills of Westmoreland, Jamaica was completely destroyed by Hurricane Melissa.

The storm tore through the small rural communities of Dundee, Charles Mountain, and Seaford Town, places that are often forgotten and hard to reach after disasters. These are the hills where I grew up, surrounded by family and neighbors who always looked out for one another.

My brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews have lost their homes, clothes, food, and everything they owned. Families are left with nothing but the clothes they were wearing when the storm hit.

I’m raising funds to send essential supplies like food, clothing, bedding, and hygiene items directly to these communities. Every donation, big or small, will help families rebuild and bring hope to those who have lost everything.
