Cyndi Davis, our beloved Mrs. Smallz food truck lady, suffered extensive burns, including third-degree burns to her arms and hands and second- and third-degree burns to her legs, on August 4, 2026. While hauling her food trailer to the Spanish Peaks endurance ride in Colorado, the trailer caught fire outside of Pagosa Springs. A recently purchased solar battery generator system is under investigation as the cause. Her Suburban, which contained almost everything she owns, and her food trailer are a total loss.
She is currently hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the Anschutz Burn Ward in Denver, Colorado, and facing many procedures. Her son is with her, but she is not able to receive other visitors at this time. The burn specialists have indicated that she will be hospitalized between 50 and 100 days.
Cyndi's dear Colorado friends have stepped forward to take care of all her dogs and keep them together. Cyndi's dogs are familiar with and get along great with the family and their pets. The dog that passed in the fire was a very senior dog who was mostly blind. He had lived a long, full life with Cyndi.
Cyndi's son, a wildfire fighter from Oregon, has authorized Cyndi's attorney friend, Michele Petty, to establish this account to receive donations to help Cyndi recover financially from this devastating ordeal.
