Hi, my name is DeNasia, and I’m launching Crowned Again, a mentorship program dedicated to empowering high-risk Black female teens in Detroit by exposing them to new experiences and skills beyond the stereotypes placed on them.
I know firsthand what it’s like to grow up in an environment that feels limiting. As someone who was raised in Detroit as part of the high-risk population, I didn’t always have access to opportunities that could have expanded my mindset. Now, at 21 years old, with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology specializing in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), I want to create a safe space for young Black girls to build confidence, form real connections, and discover new passions.
✨ What "Crowned Again" Offers: ✨
Through horseback riding, tennis, braiding, archery, photography, and more, these girls will have the chance to experience things they may have never considered before. This program is about more than just activities—it’s about sisterhood, self-worth, and breaking barriers.
✨ Why We Need Your Help ✨
To make this program free and accessible, I need funding for:
✔️ A meetup space where we can build trust and sisterhood
✔️ Transportation for those who need it
✔️ Activity costs (equipment, instructor fees, trip expenses)
✔️ Food & supplies for program days
Every dollar brings us closer to changing lives! If you can’t donate, sharing this with your network is just as valuable. Let’s help these young queens reclaim their crowns!
Thank you for your support!
