Support Crina's Family After Tragic Loss

My name is Crina. My husband was hit by a man speeding, driving an SUV, while biking with my two sons, and died 5 days after being in the hospital. The guy didn’t have insurance and is still not in jail, we heard that even if he was to go to jail, the maximum sentence is 1 year. When I heard this, my heart broke, my family suffered emotionally and financially ever since we lost him, and this will continue for the rest of our lives, especially the emotional aspect and the impact it had on my children who are still fairly young. I’m seeking financial help so I can afford to get a lawyer, as this is unfair. How can a reckless driver, who was speeding in a school zone, with his own children, hit a family man, riding a bike, get only one year in jail? It’s outrageous.
