Help Teens Find Their Voices and Change Their Lives
Tax deductible
Dear Friends and Supporters,
Meet Daniel. He is a teenager who goes to school and works a side job to help his single mom keep his grandmother and little brother afloat in a housing development where life is very tough. It’s tempting to give up when the winds of poverty blow hard.
But Daniel is a fighter and still has hope. Daniel is one of 25 teens we’ve identified through our performing arts program who are ready to soar, to bet on new possibilities.
As performing artists and mentors, over the past ten years we have given scores of young people dynamic ways to share themselves through dance and poetry on diverse stages – a shift that transforms their self-confidence and identities in ways that change the arc of their lives.
If you are reading this, you very likely had a person and a turning point in your life that launched you towards your future. This is that moment for Daniel and 24 other teens who are committed to realizing their potential.
Help us take them across the threshold. We are seeking $40,000 to match the $40,000 we already have raised to implement the Hoopsuite Project performing arts residencies in Dorchester and Selma, Alabama. Take a look at the short video above and then donate whatever you can give these young people the opportunity to break out and fly. Every donation goes directly into programming services.
