Cozy Kitchen has been a longtime, family-style diner serving the Stevens Point community with homemade comfort food and a welcoming place to gather. For many of our neighbors, and especially the unhoused, we’re more than just a diner... We’re a familiar face, a warm meal, and a sense of home, the feeling of family. For decades, we’ve welcomed everyone through our doors, believing that a hot meal and a kind word can make a real difference. That belief extends beyond our dining room. Cozy Kitchen proudly supports members of our community who are unhoused by helping provide warm meals, a safe place to rest, and a moment of dignity during difficult times. When temperatures drop and times get tough, Cozy Kitchen steps up by offering food, coffee, warmth, and compassion to those who need it most. We work to ensure that no one is turned away hungry because we know that a simple meal can bring hope, stability, and comfort. Supporting the unhoused isn’t a program for us... it’s part of who we are!
This extreme cold weather has led to higher heating and utility costs. We were unfortunately faced with a broken furnace and some broken pipes. This has unfortunately led to an added strain on day-to-day operations. So we are starting this GoFundMe to help us get through the remainder of winter and continue serving everyone who relies on Cozy Kitchen, from our staff to our amazing customers. By supporting Cozy Kitchen, you’re not only helping preserve Stevens Point’s oldest diner, you’re also helping us continue to give back to the community that has supported us for generations. Every donation helps us keep the lights on, the griddle hot, coffee in the hands of our customers, and our mission alive: feeding people, fostering kindness, and caring for our neighbors, especially those without a place to call home. Donations will go directly toward: keeping our doors open and our staff working; increased heating, utility costs, and essential operating expenses and repairs; providing warmth and meals during extreme cold.
