On October 28, 2025, Jamaica experienced a devastating Category 5 hurricane. As was broadcasted globally, most of the island was affected, but even more in the western areas. While all of Jamaica is close to my heart, the parish of Westmoreland is particularly close to me as that is where my family is from and extended family is living. Unfortunately, this parish has suffered significant damage, leaving many without stable housing.

Four years ago, my extended family created the Hugh James Foundation (https://hughjamesfoundation.com/) to support the students of Cornwall Mountain in Westmoreland by providing funding for their primary and secondary education. This foundation was named after my late uncle, who during his life, dedicated time, effort, and passion to teaching the children of Cornwall Mountain. With this unfortunate natural disaster, the foundation hopes to raise funds to help support the community. I have created this GoFundMe to help partner with the organization in bringing necessary hurricane relief efforts. Any amount donated is greatly appreciated and will go to the community of Cornwall Mountain and surrounding areas.
