As caring friends wanted to start a Go Fund Me for my husband, Corby Eisbacher, a few years ago when he first fought Lung Cancer in 22-23, but we were hesitant, there are so many in need.
Now through prayer, suggestions and support of so many friends a Go Fund Me for Corby Eisbacher will be started. Two sweet friends wrote his story, and I agreed to set it up on the website.
As there have been several unforeseen changes in our family's life circumstances, I feel at peace with our story being told.
As most of Kernersville knows, Richard Hedgecock has retired, and Corby Eisbacher has taken over the Framing Studio. As the fire at Fitz on Main destroyed a community landmark, few knew of the effects the fire had on R. Hedgecock's Framing Studio. While nowhere near the extent of damage Fitz incurred, the treasured Frame Shop was filled with smoke damage that not only ruined prints, supplies, but also influenced customers to leave the smoky shop causing a loss of business. After being closed several days the cleaning process began for myself and Corby. With so much restoration to complete the couple continue to go into the shop each day and are happy to see customers begin to return.
Corby has never asked for any help from anyone. He only asks for prayers. He knows that God will take care of his family. Taking over the business he has worked alongside with Hedgecock for 37 years continues to be a dream come true.
However, a recent Pet scan showed a malignant tumor in the upper lobe of his left lung. Corby's cancer has returned, and he will have surgery on September 5th. This diagnosis came as a huge shock. Again, he will be out of work for surgery, recovery and possible chemotherapy. With all this uncertainty, his wife will continue to work at the Frame Shop and keep it open, even though Corby is the Custom Framer. With the strain of loss of income, taking care of Corby and their daughters, and trying to maintain the home, this creates a huge burden for the family.
Another unexpected piece of news was delivered that the house the family currently rents will now possibly be put on the market to be sold at the end of the lease in January 2025. Even though the family is allowed to put in an offer to purchase the home, you can imagine what added stress this now puts on them.
Between building up business, the medical diagnosis and now an unknown regarding the family's home, these hardships for Corby and his family have laid heavy on many hearts, so sharing the story and setting up this fund was suggested by Libby Linville McGee and Terry Linville Swaim. Both ladies discussed this fund with me and with peace in my heart I decided to help with their kind suggestion. Corby has not asked for anything as he continues to work long hours to finish up framing before his surgery date.
Please consider donating to help Corby Eisbacher and his family. Any amount given will be a blessing for you and most importantly this family. Let's rally and make a difference in the Eisbacher's life. If you cannot give, please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you in advance.
