Support Cooper's Dream: Keep Him Dancing
Donation protected
Hello All,
My name is Cassidee and the boy in the picture is my nephew. His mom is my best friend and has been supporting his dancing since he was 9 years old with a little help from her brother. She is a single mom who had to take a pay cut a couple of years ago and has been struggling but staying strong since then.
Cooper is a beautiful dancer... being a competitive dancer has been his strength and safe haven, especially more so since we found out some pretty devastating news. My dude had been going through something super traumatic since he was 9 at the hands of someone who was supposed to be family, and nobody knew it was happening. Last year, the truth about that situation came out and has since been dealt with by all parties affected... but Coop was never stronger than when he was dancing.
Because of the pay cut, Coop's mom got a little behind on payments and is working her tail off to make the money to pay it back but was informed last night via email that she needs to come up with $3,000 by February 21st; otherwise, Coop's dance company will be pulling him from all competitive dances for the 2025 competition season, including his solo.
Last year he did a solo and won a national title so ALL of us are really looking forward to this year of competition... dance aunties and uncles for the win!
The worst part is Cooper is being a trooper through it all... he told his mom, "It's okay, Mom, it isn't ideal but if it is what has to happen for now, I will be okay..."
But the look in his eyes last night told a different story... his safety net, his amazing talent, his hard work, and dedication are going to be taken from him, and he is worried on the inside but putting up a very nice, what he thinks is convincing, and mature attitude which has made it to where we are going to do everything we can to get him caught up and paid for the season.
Any and all help is much appreciated and will be going directly on Cooper's dance bill... thank you all so very much for the kindness!
