Support Bear Creek Community Land Trust's “Cherish and Create the Commons Campaign”
Bear Creek Community Land Trust (BCCLT) is an intentional community situated on 152 acres of land in the rolling hills of northeast Missouri. We are seeking your support to help buy 16 acres of Common Land. As of February 2025, we have raised money for and purchased 24 acres of common land. We are currently embarking on an ongoing campaign to fund Common Land as Bear Creek Community Land Trust builds a neighborhood that cherishes land as something much more valuable than a commodity.
By supporting the purchase of the commons land, you’re helping to:
Preserve biodiversity: Commons land becomes a sanctuary for native plants, animals, and ecosystems, ensuring that our impact on nature is restorative, not destructive.

Bear Creek Community Land Trust's mission is to uplift the health of people and the earth by weaving our lives together as an inclusive, interdependent community. We are co-creating a culture that keeps us rooted in place, wild at heart, and connected to all that is sacred. We come together to responsibly grow food and build homes; reimagine and recreate the Commons; and explore traditional crafts and technologies of human and animal power. We choose to live more simply, creating a sanctuary from ways of life that undermine health and wholeness. We seek to offer to others what we know and create through cottage industries, education and immersion opportunities.
