Support Consuelo’s Journey to a New Beginning

Hi everyone, my name is Consuelo. Many of you probably know me personally, and I know there may be some confusion about what’s been going on in my life recently. I wanted to share my story honestly so you can hear it directly from me.

I’ve been attending college this past year and working toward building a future for myself. Recently, everything changed when my parents went through my phone and found out that I’m in a relationship with a girl.

The next day, they drove me home to New Mexico and told me that my softball career was over and that they would no longer support me or pay for my college. They made it clear that if I chose to live my life this way, I would be doing it completely on my own.

One day I was a college athlete with a plan for my future, and the next, I was being told I had nothing.

In that moment, I had a choice—go back to hiding who I am or stand up for myself. I chose to be true to who I am, even though it meant losing everything I depended on. That decision has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to make, but also the most honest.

Since then, I’ve moved back to Arizona because I felt like I needed to be around people who love and support me, even if it meant starting over from nothing. I’m doing everything I can to rebuild my life—looking for a job, trying to get on my feet—but doing that without financial support or transportation has been incredibly challenging.

There are definitely moments where it feels overwhelming, but I remind myself why I made this choice—to live freely, to build a future I’m proud of, and to become the person I know I’m meant to be.

I also hold onto my faith. No matter what others may think or say, I still believe that God loves me for who I am. I believe I was created with purpose, and that my life is meant to be lived fully and truthfully—not confined to an image I was expected to fit for so many years. I’m choosing to live a life that is joyful, meaningful, and real.

Despite everything, I’m still holding onto my goals. I want to finish my degree, build a stable future, and make a difference in people’s lives. I also hope to get back to playing softball someday, because it’s been such a big part of who I am.

Right now, my biggest obstacle is not having a car. Without one, it’s hard to get a job, get to school, and create any kind of stability.

The funds raised will go toward:
• Purchasing a reliable used car
• Helping cover basic living expenses as I get established
• Supporting my education and future goals

I also want to say this—if you’re reading this and you know me, your support means everything to me, whether that’s through donating or not. Even just reaching out, checking in, or showing love from afar truly makes a difference and reminds me that I’m not alone in this.

I’ve learned that support doesn’t always come from where you expect, but it still exists—and I’m incredibly grateful for it.

If you’re able to donate or share, thank you so much. And if not, your kindness, prayers, and encouragement mean just as much to me.

I also hope that by sharing this, anyone going through something similar knows they’re not alone—and that choosing yourself is never the wrong decision. You are not a mistake.

Thank you for taking the time to hear my story
