Support Connor Becker's Eagle Scout Garden Project

My name is Connor Becker, and I am currently a Life Scout with Troop 151, working toward the rank of Eagle Scout. For my Eagle Scout project, I have chosen to partner with Lake Tract School in Deptford, a place that holds special meaning to me. I attended Lake Tract as a student and have many fond memories there. As a way to give back to the school community, I would like to create a pollinator garden on the school grounds.

The purpose of the pollinator garden is twofold: to beautify the area and to serve as an educational resource for students and teachers. The project will include the construction of three raised garden beds planted with a variety of pollinator-friendly plants. To protect the garden, a fence will be installed around the beds to prevent animals from entering.

In addition, I will install educational plaques throughout the garden. These will include information about different pollinators, the life cycle of a butterfly, and illustrations to enhance learning. My goal is for the garden to be both a peaceful space and an interactive outdoor classroom that supports the school's science curriculum.
