Support Connie's Legacy after losing the fight to Cancer

Donation protected
The original intention of our campaign was to assist with offsetting the costs of medical bills that would occur throughout Connie's treatment. In light of her passing, our family would like to utilize this fundraiser to assist the family with any outstanding medical bills and use the remainder to support the future educational and career goals of her two sisters; Roslyn and Sabrina Quinn.

Connie cared for her sisters deeply and worked hard every day to ensure they would be able to accomplish anything they put their minds to and experience the world. Any contributions would be greatly appreciated to keep Connie's love and support alive. Thank you!

Our beloved Constance Mae Ball, 29, of Cumberland, Rhode Island, passed away on Thursday, April 24th, 2025, less than two months after being diagnosed with esophageal cancer. Connie passed peacefully to the other side holding hands with her mother and best friend, and her beloved husband – also present were her two dads.

Constance Mae Harvey was born July 9th, 1995, in Brockton, MA to Christy Lee Stacey and Brian Harvey. Connie Mae grew up in South Weymouth, MA with her loving grandfather “Bampie” Earl Stacey. She was raised in a loving home on Massapoag Street, where Connie Mae was surrounded by her sister-like aunts and learned about family love. In 2004, Connie and her mom moved to Whitman, MA with her soon-to-be new dad. On December 22nd, 2006, Connie was adopted by Matthew Quinn and immediately cemented her place as the backbone of the budding Quinn family of Whitman. In 2009, Connie was accepted to Cardinal Spellman High School in Brockton, MA, where she excelled in academics, relationship building, and leading others. Connie would also serve as the class treasurer, became co-captain of the volleyball team, and was a member of the National Honor Society.

Upon graduating from Cardinal Spellman in 2013, Connie was accepted to and attended Providence College in Providence, RI. Connie had extraordinary undergraduate years at PC. While working and honing her skills as a resident assistant, Connie would create lifelong friendships and meet the love of her life, Jonathan Michael Ball. Connie graduated from PC in 2017 with a degree in Health Policy and Management, where she and Jonathan would then move into the home of their classmate and close friend Joseph Padavano in Pawtucket, RI. Without much rest, Connie would then quickly begin her journey into building her career and getting involved in community service and volunteering. She was a camp counselor at Mount Hope Farm in Bristol, RI and also served as an ambassador for United Way of Rhode Island. In 2018, Connie began volunteering on the board for the 134 Collaborative, a shared-space nonprofit service in downtown Providence that provides space for various organizations to serve those in need.

On the 17th of October 2020, in a small COVID lock down wedding ceremony in downtown Providence among an intimate gathering of family, Connie and Jonathan were married. From within their small, one-bedroom apartment in Providence, Connie and Jonathan began their journey as husband and wife. Together, they would carve out a picture-perfect life that led them to build a brand-new home in Cumberland, RI. A dog named Luna, and an “alleged” cat Tess, would help them grow their family.

Surrounded by a friendly neighborhood and supported by her husband and close friends from college, Connie confidently flexed her skills and unrelenting work ethic that made her career blossom. In 2021, Connie would take her education to the next level, graduating from Rutgers University with a master’s degree in public administration (MPA). In 2022, Connie would begin working at Commonwealth Care Alliance, a non-profit health insurance agency serving those on the Medicare and Medicaid programs and assume the role of board President at the 134 Collaborative.
Connie’s constant desire to always work towards creating the best version of herself continued to propel her career. Her excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and willingness to challenge herself resulted in obtaining her Project Management Professional Certification in July of 2024; which resulted in her promotion to the Director of Quality and Training at CCA only a couple of short months later. 2024 was a year of accomplishments, growth, and excitement for the many goals Connie planned on reaching in the future. Unfortunately for Connie, her family, and her friends, there would be no storybook ending to her exciting journey. Connie was diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer in the beginning of March 2025, and after a hard-fought battle with a rare, aggressive cancer mutation, the light of our lives was extinguished on April 24th, 2025, as Connie passed away peacefully.

Connie was the prime example of someone who loved life, seizing any opportunity in her path, traveling around the world, spending quality time with friends, family, and her pets, and most of all being the best big sister and second mother to her sisters. In addition to her beloved husband Jonathan, Connie is survived by her parents, Christy and Matthew Quinn; her sisters Roslyn and Sabrina; her aunts Sheri, Margie, and Gina; her grandparents “Mammie” Marie Stacey, “Bup” Stephen Quinn, and “Yettie” Deborah Quinn; her uncles Eric, Andy, Christian, and Grant; her cousins Jacob, Kylie, and Chris Stoddard, Josh and Keira Manchester, Marlaina Stacey, and Logan, Liam, and Brady Quinn; her father-in-law Michael Ball, her mother-in-law Cheryl Ball, and her brother-in-law David Ball; as well as her God-daughter Elliana Tsegaye. She is also survived by her biological father Brian Harvey, as well as an overwhelming number of friends and loved ones she made along the way.
