Support Literacy & Family-Centered Development in Bolivia
Donation protected
Hi friends, family, and supporters,
This May, we — Cambrie, Cam, and Emma — will travel to Bolivia to spend time with local leaders, volunteers, and families who are creating change in their communities. As students passionate about sustainable development, we’re eager to learn from the people and programs leading this important work on the ground.
We are covering all of our own travel costs, so this fundraiser is entirely for the local programs we will be engaging with and learning from. These initiatives are led by Bolivian staff and volunteers through the nonprofit HOPE worldwide Bolivia, who bring deep knowledge, strong relationships, and a clear vision for what their communities need most.
The Programs Your Gift Supports:
Mobile Library Program
A traveling library bringing books, stories, and reading support to children in under-resourced neighborhoods
ESL Language Program
Free English classes for children and adults to expand educational and job opportunities
Early Childhood Development & Healthy Families
Programs that walk alongside families with young children, offering parenting support, developmental resources, and even access to LendHOPE micro-funds (small, community-based loans designed to empower career-motivated individuals and small business owners)
With rising inflation in Bolivia, access to essential items like hygiene products and staple foods has become increasingly difficult. Your support will also help provide these necessities to families and young adults who have aged out of orphanages, distributed based on individual needs.
Whether you choose to donate, share, or simply follow along with our journey, we’re deeply grateful for your support. Your encouragement helps uplift communities, empower local leaders, and reminds us all that meaningful change happens through partnership.
We can't wait to share what we learn and experience with you.
With love and gratitude,
Cambrie Vergeire, Cameron Shelley, and Emma Monte
