I lost my job suddenly a few weeks ago, yesterday my previous employer disputed my unemployment claim. I was counting on the unemployment I would have received to pay rent and utilities this month as I'm still seeking employment.

I filed an appeal hearing for unemployment but the soonest date that could be scheduled for is May 19th.

For now I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place with unemployment and have not heard back on any job applications, my secondary source of income is teaching one day a week but that ends for the summer in 3 weeks.

I fear my only other option is moving back to my hometown, which I have avoided because it holds a lot of traumatic events and experiences and being there negatively impacts my mental health which is already fairly rocky.

The last year of my life has been very unstable and uncertain, any contributions ensure security and stability, things I have not had much of lately.
