Support Community Efforts in Rural Egypt

We visit the rural community of Kingmariout every year for several months and organize activities to improve the conditions of its inhabitants. Our current efforts target:

● Dental health of children

● Cleaning up the streets

● Enhancing recycling and garbage collection efforts

Kingmariout is a rural town in the far outskirts of Alexandria, Egypt. Its income and wealth demography is highly diverse with many families living under low-income conditions. There are no community-funded efforts for improving education, general health, and environmental conditions. The public schools are underfunded and students receive the bare minimum of general education.

The government has long neglected the very low-income groups of this area. We aim to help this community through providing dental health efforts, cleaning up the streets, creating community gardens, and enhancing recycling/garbage collection efforts.

Having already successfully helped dental and educational efforts within the last few years through this platform, this year our goal is to not only provide more towards such an underprivileged community, but also make a lasting impact towards Kingmariout, allowing them to ultimately learn to help themselves.

Not only do we plan on giving out large stashes of dental hygiene equipment to the community, but we also plan on raising awareness about dental hygiene. We will do this by talking to the children about proper dental hygiene and why it is essential to preserve tooth and gum health as they get older. This would hopefully lead to better hygiene and care for their gums in the community.

We plan to clean up the streets to help sustain a healthier and better environment since conditions directly affect the citizens. This would also lead to fewer rats, pests, and toxic materials in the area, making it a safer and healthier place overall.

Creating community gardens for Kingmariout would ultimately lead to fewer food purchases and less money spent, letting the citizens save their money for other necessities. This would also help relieve stress and lead to healthier eating throughout the community.

We are thankful to all who have supported our efforts through donations and will continue to raise money. Your support can make a real difference in this community. The fundraisers spent several months of every year in Kingmariout working with the local community. At this time, we are raising money for the continuation of our dental health efforts and for starting a grassroots movement to clean up the streets from plastic waste and enhancing recycling and garbage collection efforts.
