Community Care for Neurodegeneration: Berks & Beyond

Our organization is dedicated to making a tangible difference for individuals and families impacted by neurodegenerative diseases by offering a holistic, community-centered approach to care and support. Unlike traditional programs, we specifically address these individuals' profound isolation and cognitive challenges, integrating cognitive stimulation, social engagement, and accessible nutritional education to create a supportive network that enhances well-being and attenuates cognitive decline.

Through our initiative, patients benefit from regular, interactive sessions—such as art and music therapy, guided meditation, technology workshops, and engaging activities with student and community volunteers—that foster meaningful connections and stimulate cognitive health. This intergenerational model builds community and provides a unique blend of companionship and support, helping those affected feel valued and less alone.

In addition to our engagement programs, we hope to address a critical gap in brain-health-focused nutrition. Many affected by neurodegenerative conditions lack access to evidence-based nutritional resources that support cognitive resilience.
