Support Colt and Autumn's Embryo Adoption
Donation protected
Hello! Our names are Colt and Autumn Helton. We have been married for 6 years and feel the Lord moving in our lives for us to start a family. About a year ago, after several years of trying to conceive, we decided it was time to get medical advice on why we were not able to have children. After all of the tests and emotional struggles that surfaced during this process, we discovered that Colt was infertile. He was born with a condition that prevents him from having biological children. We were devastated. We did what any rational human being would do in these moments and tried to look for more answers. Why? How? What can we do about it? We went through months of this emotional roller-coaster, and shortly into this journey we realized- God was the only one in control of our family. There was nothing we could do. There was no reason why. There was no how... And we had to submit to the Lord. In the past year, we have done research on adoption, and foster care, but none of the doors were opening in those directions. But recently, we came across Nightlight Christian Adoptions and found that they have a remarkable Embryo Adoption program. We had never heard of anything like it, but it was an answered prayer. A miracle. We can adopt a sibling set of embryos, carry them to term, and raise them as our own.
We are currently pursuing adoption through Nightlight's Embryo Adoption program. We have completed our orientation and are prepared to start the process as soon as possible. So, we are asking for help from our friends and family to help donate to cover the expenses of the adoption. There are several stages through the process- application, home study, matching, contract, transfer from clinic, then the medical side of things.
We are so thankful for everything that God has blessed us with throughout this journey. If you do not feel led to donate, we ask that you please share our story. God will continue to do wonderful things using this program, and we want to spread awareness for anyone else who may be struggling as we have. Thank you for reading our story, and we look forward to updating you as we go!!
