3,800 meat packing workers at JBS Beef in Greeley, Colorado have been on a historic strike since Monday, March 16 with UFCW Local 7R.

Essential Workers for Democracy is fundraising with community strike solidarity group (appropriately called "Moo") for on-the-ground strike support!

All funds will go to immediate strike support.

Half of the funds will go to purchasing snacks, beverages, and other supplies to keep the nearly 4,000 picketers fed, hydrated, and cool during the heat wave. Those buying supplies will send receipts through the Moo solidarity network and be reimbursed.

Half of the funds will go directly to UFCW Local 7R's strike hardship fund. The hardship fund goes to striking workers who have applied for additional financial support in addition to strike benefits, due to extenuating circumstances and/or financial hardship. Any remaining funds not used for picket supplies will be donated to the hardship fund. All receipts and records will be available upon request.
