Helping My Best Friend’s Family in Their Hardest Time

Hi, my name is Kouper, and I want to tell you about my best friend, Colin, and his family. Colin’s dad, Chris, has brain cancer, and the doctors have said he doesn’t have much longer to live. Watching my friend go through this has been really hard. I can see how much pain and worry it’s causing Colin, his sister Kayla, and his mom, Amanda.

Amanda has been caring for Chris every single day, making sure he’s comfortable, while also trying to hold their family together. She’s working so hard, but it’s a lot — and with the bills piling up and all the challenges they face, it’s almost too much to handle alone. Colin and Kayla shouldn’t have to worry about money while their dad is so sick, and Amanda shouldn’t have to choose between caring for her husband and keeping the family afloat.

I want to help them because they are some of the kindest, most amazing people I know. They didn’t ask for any of this, and no family should have to face such a scary, heartbreaking situation without support. I hope this fundraiser can give them some relief, even just a little, so they can spend as much time as possible together, without worrying about how they’ll make ends meet.
