Hello, my name is Jason Finney and I’m a fellow L2881 Butte Chapter member in the Butte Unit. I am reaching out to you all to ask for your assistance in supporting some of our local families during the holidays.

As you know more than 400 homes were lost during the Park Fire that ravaged Butte County this summer. Many of these homes were in the Cohasset and Forest Ranch communities and many had inadequate or no insurance at all. Many of these families have lived on their lands for generations and are now trying to navigate their new reality with very little help. Every time I drive through the community of Cohasset I see families living back on their burned-out properties in trailers and some in tents.

The goal of this go fund me is to provide some of these families with a Christmas they deserve as well as some financial assistance moving forward. So far we have identified 6 families in need with a few more on the waiting list. We plan to deliver the toys and financial support in the Fire Engine a few days before Christmas. All proceeds will directly support residents of Cohasset and Forest Ranch right here in Butte county.

We would like to run this Go Fund Me through December 20th. Any amount you are able to give be it large or small, will be a huge help and is greatly appreciated. Let's show our community that we are here for them in their time of need.
