But to the Atlanta community, he is simply Coach Lam—a humble, dedicated teacher giving back to kids, men, women, and fighters of all levels. Coach Lam has sacrificed his entire life to the "art of eight limbs." He has literally spilled his blood, sweat, and tears in front of packed stadiums for the love of the sport. However, the reality of a fighter’s life after retirement rarely reflects the riches seen in mainstream athletics. Combat sports are arguably the most inherently dangerous sports in the world, yet they notoriously leave their athletes undercompensated when the stadium lights finally go out. Despite the physical toll and financial realities of his career, Coach Lam remains one of the most selfless people you will ever meet.
