Let’s help support ClaraBrett and her parents while they’re on this journey fighting cancer!
“Our story starts out like most, I think. She was born early and was always sick, it seemed like. We had already been to the ER more times than I can count. This time was different. She had what I thought then was a stomach virus. We brought her to the ER because she had been up all night vomiting, was lethargic, and pale. They did all the things: blood work, X-ray, and CT. She had to have an emergency blood transfusion while in the ER. She was then admitted to the ICU. It was in that waiting room we learned she had a mass on her kidney. After a biopsy, she was diagnosed with Stage 3 Wilms tumor/Nephroblastoma. Then things started happening so fast. She had a port placed, then we made a plan to start chemo in the next few days. During that initial hospital stay, she got pneumonia, 3 more blood transfusions, and had to be started on BP meds. She got her first chemo treatment on Thursday, 6-5-25, and that Saturday, after 15 days in the hospital, we were finally home. She will have 28 weeks of chemo, surgery to remove the tumor and kidney, and radiation. This will be her journey!”
This fundraiser was created to support Clara and her family as they navigate this difficult road. Your contributions will help ease the financial burden and allow them to focus fully on what matters most: ClaraBrett’s healing. Funds will go toward:
• Medical costs not fully covered by insurance
• Loss of income from time away from work during treatments and/or hospital stays
• Nutritional support and care needs throughout the process
• Creating moments of peace, joy, and normalcy for Clara (and her 6-year-old sister Chloe) along the way.
