Hello! My name is Ciela, and I am writing this as Cielo's girlfriend.

Each day, I see firsthand the weight she carries, and how her pressures of survival, the escalating cost of living, and the active persecution of transgender people in the US and in Puerto Rico compound.

Yet amidst it all, Cielo continues to pour her love and care into her community, even when she has little left to give for herself. But today, she needs care and support in return.

Cielo is currently behind on rent and utilities. With limited opportunities to make money, she faces the impossible task of balancing survival with the work that gives life meaning: mutual aid, community organizing, and making art. I am asking for your help in raising $6,000: enough to cover 3 months of Cielo's living expenses and back rent, to give her the space to breathe, to heal and to restabilize.
