Chukker Meetup 2025 (November 1 at Druid City Brewing Company in Tuscaloosa) is a free-to-the-public event. We are somewhat in the red from Chukker Meetup 2024 for the graphics, t-shirts, etc. We're going to cut back on them this go-around. This fundraisers is an opportunity for individuals and businesses to donate what they can or what they want to make it possible for another (smaller than Weekender 2023) event to take place. This is not a high-paying gig for the entertainers and presenters involved. It's a labor of love. Donations might help cover some of the expenses related to their travel. Other uses of the money will go to cover some of the labor of graphic designer and vendors who will suppply things like chairs, tables, and audio equipment. The fund will remain open beyond Chukker Meetup 2025 to have funds for future events - we hope to have an annual one-day Meetup and then a Weekender every five years (so, in 2028, a Weekender to celebrate 25 years since the Chukker closed in 2003).
