Support Chuck George's Battle Against Lung Cancer

Donation protected
If you know Chuck George, or as most people know him, as Bubs, you know his heart. As a devoted family man and someone who will always stop and give a helping hand to family or any random stranger in need, no matter how big or how small, his life has been defined by love, generosity, and service. If someone needs a hand, he is there—no questions asked. Whether it is fixing something, lending his time, or simply being a shoulder to lean on, Bubs has always put others first. He’s the man who tells it to you straight (with one, two, three, or even seven well-placed swear words) yet somehow leaves you feeling encouraged. Beneath the sarcasm and smart-ass remarks is a heart of pure gold. His humor and presence make life brighter for everyone lucky enough to know him.

Recently, our family received news we never wanted to hear: our Dad has been diagnosed with stage three non-small cell carcinoma lung cancer. Doctors have given him an estimated four years to live—but if you know Bubs, you know he plans to fill every single day with love, laughter, and fight. As for him and his family, we are remaining hopeful that his cancer will respond to treatment and allow him more time to be with his family.

Although he has always been our rock, it is now our turn to be there for him. As a family, we are raising funds to help lift the heavy financial burden that comes with countless medical appointments, time away from work, and the unexpected expenses this fight will bring. I (Chas, his son) am organizing this because if you know my dad, you know he is going to fight until the end of his days. I know he will, but I want my dad to live his life to the fullest extent that he can. Although my dad would never ask for help himself. He’s always been the one to give, never to take. Even now, he says, “I will keep working while I get treatment, because I won’t lose what I’ve worked so hard for, and I won’t leave a financial burden on my family.” However, as much as he insists on providing, there will be days when the chemo and radiation treatments keep him from working. What matters most to us isn’t the bills—it’s him being able to enjoy time with his family, his dogs, and especially his grandchildren. As a father myself, I now understand what it means to want your family to be set up in the best way possible. But as a son who does not want to lose his dad, I can say that financial security is not what his family is worried about. We are grateful that he has already given us the skills to succeed in life.

We are asking for help—no matter how big or small—to support his fight. Every donation and every share means more than words could ever express. Thank you for helping give him the strength, hope, and resources to focus on what matters most—healing and cherishing time with his family.
