My name is Christy, and for most of my life, I’ve survived what should have broken me.

As a child, I was abused by the person who was supposed to protect me, my father. That trauma shaped everything I knew about love, safety, and trust. I spent years thinking I was finally free — until, as an adult, I found myself in another abusive relationship that mirrored the same patterns of control, fear, and manipulation.

I’ve spent the last few years surviving, fighting for justice, and reclaiming my voice. I now have a restraining order against my abuser and am pressing forward, determined to heal and to speak out for others.

For the first time in my life, I’m free — but freedom after abuse comes with rebuilding everything from the ground up: safe housing, therapy, legal costs, relocation, and simply time to heal without fear.

I’ve started sharing my story of how I survived childhood sexual abuse perpetrated by my father. The response has been overwhelming — messages from survivors saying my words helped them heal parts of their childhood.

I never thought I’d make a GoFundMe, but I’ve learned that asking for help is not weakness — it’s survival. Every donation, share, and kind word helps me move forward into safety, rebuild stability, and continue speaking out to protect others from the same kind of pain I endured.

My goal is to create a new start — a safe place to live, trauma recovery, and the resources to continue advocacy work so no survivor feels alone or silenced again.
