Support Christopher's Drive to Success

Dear Prospective Donor,

I hope this letter finds you well. My name is Christopher Arnold, and I am a junior at Heritage High School. I am writing to seek your support for a significant opportunity that has come my way. This summer, I have been selected as part of the first class of high school interns at the world’s largest open-source software company, with my internship running from July 8 through August 2. This role is a full-time commitment, requiring me to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.

This internship is a milestone in my academic and professional journey. At Heritage High School, I maintain a 3.65 GPA while taking AP, Honors, and STEM classes. In addition to my academic pursuits, I serve as the Mid-Atlantic Regional Teen Chaplain for Jack and Jill of America, Inc., where I provide spiritual guidance and support to teens across our region. I am deeply committed to community service, having completed over 100 service hours this year alone through my involvement with organizations like Kappa League, Red Hat Inc., and the National Achiever's Society.

My community service includes volunteering for Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Habitat for Humanity, and various fundraisers supporting the Boys & Girls Club of America, Inc. Additionally, I have pursued my passion for the arts by performing in school plays and playing multiple musical instruments. I am also a member of the Raleigh Chapter of the National Kappa Instructional Leadership and Development League, where I was recently elected to serve as Vice President for the 2024-2025 year.

However, to fully participate in this internship, I need reliable transportation. The commute to the internship is 35 minutes from my home, and while I am a licensed and insured driver, I currently do not have access to a car. Therefore, I am seeking assistance to either secure the donation of a vehicle, borrow a vehicle for the duration of the internship, or receive financial support to cover the cost of transportation.
