Our warrior sister, Christine, is a loving wife, mother of three, and a walking testimony!
At 33 years old, Christine was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in 2013. She had a mastectomy and 2 lymph nodes removed. Doctors said she had two years left to live, but by the grace of God, she's still here 13 years later! It's definitely been a journey battling cancer on and off. First, cancer in her breast, then liver, then her brain leading to brain surgery. Recovery was rough, but she went into remission for awhile and got to enjoy God's blessings.
Recently, Christine was admitted to the hospital due to stroke-like symptoms, slurred speech and loss of feeling/movement on her left side. MRI scans show many masses throughout her brain. Surgery is no longer an option. High dose of chemo and radiation will take away her quality of life. She'll be in a vegetable state. Treatment was so hard on her body over the years. She has decided not to go through treatment and let the cancer run it's course. Doctors said she may have about 3-6 months to live. She is back home under hospice care.
Christine is tired of suffering. She has decided that she is ready to go home to Heaven and be with the Lord. She has requested a Celebration of Life while she is still here. She is expected to lose mobility and senses within the next few months and wants to see her loved ones and make final memories while she is still able to comprehend. She said the Lord has given her peace about her decision.
It hurts my heart to write this. We will continue to pray for another miracle. This is not something we want to accept, but we also want to respect her wishes.
Every penny donated will help pay off medical bills, and living expenses as her husband will be missing a lot of work. These funds will also help with preparation of her Celebration of Life. Lastly, help with travel expenses for her oldest son to be able to be there for her Celebration of Life and allow her to create more memories with her husband and her boys.
If you can't donate, prayers are greatly appreciated!
Thank you for your support!
