Mother of 5, Support Christina Herp’s Family

Hello,

I’m regrettably making this fundraiser because of the tragic circumstances occurring in me and my family members' lives. My name is Andrew Serrato Jr and I’m the oldest son of Christina Herp, who is the reason why I’m making this fundraiser. My mom was 41 and was the mother of 5 children, she was the most loving, devoted, and compassionate mother I’ve ever known.

The only thing she cared about until the very end were her kids, who she gave everything to. She gave her time, energy, health, and money in order to provide not only everything we needed, but everything we wanted. Back in 2015/16 my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer which was very unexpected. Everyone was worried but at the same time she assured us everything was going to be okay, and she ended up fighting and beating it.

She was cancer-free for years and everything was looking fine until 2023. In August of 2023, she was again diagnosed with cancer, but this time it was in her back and had the potential to spread if it hadn’t already at the time. She was very brave and fought for us for almost a full year. It eventually did spread and had even affected her brain. Even though she got weaker as time went by she never made us worry and always had a smile on her face. Towards the end with the way it spread she was unable to walk, barely able to lift her shoulder, had lost vision of one eye, and couldn’t speak very well. It was extremely hard to see and she was in a lot of pain every day. Despite all this, she would still be there for us holding our hands giving us hugs and telling us not to worry.

Unfortunately on June 30th 2024, after battling with everything she had she passed away due to complications from cancer and it spreading. Her absence has left a terrible void in our family and nothing could ever replace the amazing person she was.

My siblings and I lived with my mom and she was the one who paid for a majority of the bills including rent and utilities. Any donations or contributions will be going towards any bills and rent and to help with any financial strain due to the situation.
