Help a Mother of Twins After Husband’s Deportation

Hi, my name is Christina, and I’m a mother of two beautiful 4-year-old twin boys, Jhon and Damian. I’m reaching out today with a broken heart and a heavy burden on my shoulders.

Unfortunately, due to the harsh and unforgiving reality of our immigration system, my husband — the father of our children, my best friend, my life partner — has been deported back to Guatemala. Despite doing everything the right way, our family was not given the justice or compassion we so desperately hoped for. We were torn apart, just like so many other families who are victims of these heartbreaking immigration policies.

Now, I’m left here in the U.S. to raise our boys alone — physically, emotionally, and financially. I’m doing everything I can to stay strong for my sons, but the weight is unbearable. I’m juggling rent, utilities, food, car payments, childcare, clothes for my boys to start school, and the extremely high cost of legal fees as we fight for any chance to reunite our family again.

My boys cry for their father, and every day I remind them that he loves them and that we are doing everything we can to bring our family back together.

I never thought I would be here, asking for help, but I believe in the power of community and the kindness of strangers. If you find it in your heart to donate or share our story, you’ll be helping a mother hold her family together during the most painful chapter of our lives.

Hola, mi nombre es Christina, y estoy escribiendo esto en uno de los momentos más difíciles de mi vida.

Debido a inmigración, mi esposo — el amor de mi vida y padre de nuestros hijos gemelos — fue deportado a Guatemala. A pesar de hacer todo correctamente, fuimos una más de las muchas familias separadas por un sistema que no brinda la justicia que merecemos. Ahora estoy sola aquí en los Estados Unidos con nuestros hijos gemelos de 4 años, Jhon y Damian, tratando de mantener todo en pie.

Soy una madre que lo está haciendo todo sola — alquiler, comida, facturas, pagos del carro, y sobre todo, el dolor de ver a mis hijos llorar por su papá. Además, estamos enfrentando costosos gastos legales con la esperanza de reunirnos algún día.

Esto no es solo una crisis financiera — es un corazón roto, un hogar roto, y una familia luchando por mantenerse fuerte. Nunca pensé que tendría que pedir ayuda así, pero creo en la comunidad y en la bondad de las personas.
