Hi, we are Beata and Damian, and we are incredibly proud parents of our son, Christian.
We are raising funds to support him in taking part in the World Challenge programme - an amazing opportunity that will help him grow in confidence, independence, and resilience, while experiencing a completely new culture.
This trip is something Christian is truly passionate about, and he has been working hard towards making it a reality. We are supporting him as much as we can, and he is also committed to fundraising and contributing himself.
We asked Christian to share, in his own words, what this opportunity means to him:
Hi, my name is Christian, and this July I will be taking part in an incredible World Challenge expedition to Vietnam. This is a once‑in‑a‑lifetime opportunity for me to explore a completely different part of the world, learn new skills, and grow as a person. To help cover the cost of the trip, I am fundraising and would be extremely grateful for any support.
I’m really excited to experience Vietnamese culture, meet new people, and see how local communities live and work. This trip will push me outside my comfort zone and give me the chance to try things I’ve never done before — from navigating new environments to working as part of a team in real‑life situations.
A major part of the expedition involves supporting local communities. The funds generated through World Challenge help create long‑term infrastructure improvements, and during the trip, we will be fully immersed in community life. I’ll have the chance to learn local traditions, take part in daily activities, and contribute to preserving cultural heritage for future generations.
This journey means a lot to me, and every donation — no matter the size — brings me one step closer to making it happen. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story and for considering supporting my adventure.
To help make this possible, I am organising a 10km sponsored walk, and everyone is very welcome to join and support.
Meeting point: Willen Lake, Milton Keynes, MK15 0SF, England, at 11:00 am on Easter Monday - 6th April 2026
I am really committed to making this happen, and as I have just turned 16, I am also looking for a weekend job so I can contribute towards the cost myself.
Any support, big or small, would mean so much to us and would help Christian take part in this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story and supporting him on this journey. We will keep everyone updated on his progress along the way.
