Support Chris's Family and Cora's Future

*Update* Chris passed away in hospital on Friday 5/3; his burial service is this Friday. Mother’s Day this weekend and Father’s Day next month will be especially painful for his mom, dad and daughter. Your continued financial and spiritual support is greatly appreciated.

Hi, my name is Cecilia and I am raising funds for my 36yr old cousin, Chris, and his ten year old daughter, Cora. Chris was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer in December of last year; he has been in and out of hospital several times due to complications from this insidious disease. In fact, he is currently hospitalized and unfortunately, we have learned he is nearing the end of his earthly journey and comfort care is being provided to him.

Chris and Cora have been living with my uncle and aunt in Prescott Valley for several years. Their little family relocated back to Arizona from Ohio not long after Cora’s mother passed away from lung cancer when Cora was very young. In the short span of her life, Cora has had to endure more tragedy and loss than I believe most of us could bear. It is difficult for me to wrap my head and heart around the senselessness of this for my family, and since I can’t really do anything to heal them, I’m hoping at the very least, myself and this community can help with the financial strain this has had and will continue to have.

It is my wish that through your generosity, my aunt and uncle can have some assistance with the costs of Chris’s care and ultimately assist Cora with future education expenses. I have chosen a fundraising goal of $10,000; I would love to surpass it but I want to be realistic with this ask. I know asking people to give money to someone they don’t know can be perceived as strange or perhaps even brazen. But if you have anything you can give, it will be graciously accepted and greatly appreciated. If you cannot donate, I’d ask you to please keep Chris, Cora, my aunt and uncle, Chris’s sister and brother and all their family and friends in your thoughts. Thank you in advance for your help.
