My name is Chris K. I've been almost jobless, foodless, and now near homeless!!!

I have owned my own property for about four or five years. I have cleared that lot with friends and family, most of whom are now dead and gone. I have tried my very best to get things to come together. Now, here we are at the lowest point I thought it could be until now. I have a camper that I live in on the property without water and without lights, which for me was just fine until one day I received a notice telling me I would have to be removed from my property, remove the camper, and I could no longer live there. I have no one or nowhere else in the world to go, and work has been very slow. They're telling me in order for me to live on a property that I have bought and paid for, cleared like I said by myself with help from friends and family, I'm gonna have to pay $450 for a permit, wait on a waiting list, then be approved. That's only counting the permit. That does not include the cost to get the lights on, which will cost me another $375. They came out and marked where the line went down, easy peasy, I thought, but no, the permit has to come first. Not to mention, I filled out about every grant in the world possible to get a well put in and set up. So as you can see, there's a lot of work. And I now face not only being put off my property but also jail time, a property that I bought and paid for and have had in my family since my great-grandfather. I have nowhere to go, and with snow on the ground, things are getting pretty ugly.

I am fundraising because I need help to pay for the permits and utilities to stay on my property and avoid homelessness and potential jail time.
