Support Randa, Chris and Baby Malcolm's Journey
Donation protected
Hello Friends,
This is Randa here, Malcolm’s mom updating our page and everyone on our sweet Malcolm boy. Malcolm is now 6 months old, 4 months adjusted, and still the strongest most brave little man. We have been home from the NICU now for three months and mom has taken over as his full time nurse basically. Malcolm was sent home with a GJ tube as well as a central line going into one of his main arteries for Iv nutritional support. As Malcolm has been growing and developing into such a sweetheart, his intestines are still not working properly. We have made little to no progress with his tummy since being home and now we are headed back in for his 5th surgery this June. His amazing and trusted Drs will be going back in and possibly removing a part of his intestines that seem to be the problem area. They will also be performing a Nissen fundoplication to help with his extreme reflux. We will once again be back in the Children’s hospital for a couple weeks while he heals and we let his intestines wake back up again and hopefully start functioning properly. During this time we will be in the hospital with him and traveling back and forth from Libby to Kalispell. We are hoping once again our friends and family can rally around us and help support us in any way. With the cost of gas, living, food, etc. anything would be a blessing. I know times are rough for everyone so even just sharing this link to spread the word we would appreciate it very much. I couldn’t thank everyone enough who has helped us so far and continues with us on our journey to healing with Malcolm❤️❤️
I'm Dee Teske and I am Randa's mom. I am setting up this fundraiser to help Chris & Randa Holm. Randa & Chris were expecting baby Malcom to arrive just after Christmas. As you may already know by now, due to some health issues a little over a week ago, Randa was was Alert helicoptered to Kalispell. She spent several days in the Labor & Delivery unit, where they were trying to keep her pregnant for at least two more weeks. But at 32 weeks they needed to perform an emergency C-section and deliver Malcolm "Mac" at 7 months pregnant. Mac was born on the 2nd of November and weighs 4lbs 3oz. Malcolm has a serious intestinal issue which is requiring surgery and will be in NICU until completely healed, which may be up to 2 months. During this time Chris & Randa will be traveling back and forth to Kalispell. As anyone from around here knows, that's 190 miles round trip between Libby and Kalispell. I hoping all our friends, family and even strangers might be willing to help them out by donating to assist with the cost of fuel, food etc. while traveling and navigating life as it will be for the next couple months. This fundraiser can also help the kids with being able to stay over near the hospital now and then, so they can be closer to little Mac. I hope to reach or surpass this fundraiser goal, but any donation is appreciated by Randa and Chris.
I GREATLY APPRECIATE YOU TAKING THE TIME TO READ THIS AND HOPE YOU CAN HELP SUPPORT CHRIS, RANDA & LITTLE MALCOLM. THANK YOU!
