Hello. My name is Sommer. I am a 31 year old mom of 2 boys. Kharsyn (10) and Chosyn (5). Chosyn was born with congenital heart disease. He has several defects but his main ones are HLHS and Heterotaxy. He has had many open heart surgeries since 4 days old. On May 15th we were admitted into the hospital with some devastating news. Chosyn's heart was failing for the 2nd time in his life. The doctors began giving medication to help with this and to give his heart a chance to strengthen up but this did not help at all. He began to get sicker. I was told he would need to be put on ECMO (life support) which is a machine that does the work of your heart and lungs. I did not really have much time to think or research it. I had to make a decision and my decision was to do what was needed to help him. They did. He stayed on ecmo for 2 days until they received a Ventricular assist device for him. He is currently on the device now and will have to stay on it until he receives a heart transplant. Somehow from

being on one of these machines Chosyn sustained a significant brain injury from lack of oxygen to the brain or a blood cot. My son is fighting to recover everyday. Before he got admitted into the hospital we had recently moved to TN on May 1st but have been in GA ever since admission. Everything we own is there. I am raising money to help with expenses that have acquired because of our prolonged and unexpected stay at the hospital. I am appreciative of anything. Thoughts and prayers are welcomed as well.

update: As you all know. My sweet boy went on to heaven this morning. I am asking for any help with burying my baby and giving him a home going he deserves. I would really appreciate it and thank you for your continued prayers and support.
