Her Story
Our beautiful sister-in-law, Chontaine (Chony) Adair, has been unexpectedly diagnosed with stage four cancer. What began as breast cancer has since spread throughout her body. Tragically, the diagnosis is not curable, and care is now focused on pain management, comfort, and quality of life.
Chony is in her early thirties, alongside her devoted husband, and together they are raising two beautiful young daughters. In a short period of time, their lives have changed completely. Instead of focusing on family life and the future, they are now navigating hospital visits, difficult medical decisions, and the emotional weight of what lies ahead.
The family lives in the greater Nepean region, meaning access to specialist care often requires long-distance travel to major hospitals, adding further strain during an already overwhelming time.
With reduced capacity to work, frequent medical appointments, and ongoing care-related expenses, the financial pressure has been significant. Without support, Chony’s husband is faced with the heartbreaking reality of needing to increase work hours simply to cover bills, rather than spending precious time at home supporting Chony and being present for their young girls.
This fundraiser has been created to remove that burden - to give this family the freedom to focus on time together, care, and creating moments that matter, without the constant stress of financial survival.
