Support the UnLocked Project: Care Packages for Children of Incarcerated Parents + Peer Support Groups + Awareness Events
Hello!! We are the UnLocked Project, a group made up of dedicated college students who care about supporting those impacted by familial incarceration. We are comprised of students who have experienced parental incarceration and allies who care.
Children with incarcerated parents often face unique emotional and financial hardships, and we want to show them they are not alone.
Originally this fundraiser was created to help support the The UnLocked Project in raising $1600 to create care packages for 60 children at the Osborne Association, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting families impacted by incarceration in New York. We are also giving 17 packages to children in the DMV area.
These care packages included hygiene items, art supplies, journals, and personal letters of encouragement—small but meaningful reminders that they are seen, valued, and supported by others who understand their experience.
WELL GUESS WHAT? Our fundraiser and our delivery was a SUCCESS! To continue giving out packages and resources locally, we plan on keeping this fundraiser UP, with the rest of the funds going to more care packages and event funding (such as for peer support groups and awareness events)
Your support would mean the world to us and help brighten a child's day! $20= one care package for a child! Be that gift. But any amount counts!
Your donation, no matter the size, will help us bring joy and reassurance to these kids. Join us in making a difference!
Donate today and help us reach our goal! #UnLockedProject #SupportChildrenOfIncarceratedParents
