Help Us Bring Love to Kenya – One Mission, One Life at a Time
My name is De’Von Brown, and at 12 years old, my life changed forever. I was selected to leave East Baltimore and attend an all-boys boarding school in Kenya, East Africa, a place that would shape my future and instill in me a deep love for a country that gave me hope. My story was featured in the NAACP award-winning documentary The Boys of Baraka, which followed a group of young boys from Baltimore navigating opportunity, change, and survival.
Now, I’ve returned to Kenya—not as a student, but as a servant.
This year , I’m leading my first annual mission trip to Kenya through a nonprofit called Kenya With Love, founded by my mentor, Pastor Noland Henson, who has been doing mission work in Kenya for over 20 years. Together, we are committed to supporting some of the most vulnerable communities across Kenya—from orphanages and schools to a women’s prison where mothers are raising their children behind bars.
We’re not just visiting—we’re providing direct aid. Our mission is to deliver food, clothing, medical supplies, school resources, and love to children and families who desperately need it. We are serving infants, youth, teens, and mothers in some of the most overlooked parts of Kenya.
But we can't do it without your help.
Your donation will go directly toward:

- Supporting the construction of basic facilities
- Meeting urgent needs shared with us by our partners on the ground
- And covering the basic mission expenses such as our 2025 magazine that will highlight our efforts in kenya.
