They Arrived Alone. Let’s Help Them Feel They Belong.

Imagine leaving your home, your family and everything you know behind — and arriving in a new country alone.

For many of the young people supported by Da'aro Youth Project, this is their reality. They are young asylum seekers and refugees who have come to the UK without their families or the people they know and love.

Many have lived through conflict, loss, persecution and uncertainty before making the difficult journey to safety. Now they are trying to build a new life in a country that is unfamiliar to them.

Starting again is not easy.

Sometimes, the things they need are simple: toiletries, something to help with their education, resources to support their wellbeing, or a Qur’an for a young person who wants one as part of their faith.

That is what we are raising money to provide.

Your donation can help provide:
Toiletries and personal care items
Educational and learning resources
Qur’ans for young people who request one
Practical items that support wellbeing and independence

These might seem like small things.

But when you have arrived in a new country without your family, being given something you need can also be a reminder that someone cares.

A young person should not have to feel invisible because they arrived here alone.

Through our work with Da'aro Youth Project, we want to help these young people feel welcomed, supported and respected as they begin building their lives here.

Our initiative is inspired by the Islamic values of compassion, generosity and looking after those who are in need. While this project is led by a Muslim community initiative, support is available to young people of all faiths and backgrounds.

You may never know the name of the young person your donation helps.

But they will know that someone, somewhere, cared enough to help.

Every donation — no matter how small — can provide something practical, restore a little dignity and remind a young person:

You are welcome here.
You are not forgotten.
You are not alone.

Please donate if you can, share this appeal and keep these young people in your du’as.

JazakAllahu khairan for your generosity and support.
