My son, your friend, and a source of light to so many whose lives he touched with his love, generosity, and kindness—was taken from us far too soon. His final mission in life, to reunite his family and bring them home to America, was left unfinished.

Those who were blessed to know Chet know the kind of man he was: giving, selfless, compassionate, and always ready to help others even when he had little himself. His heart was enormous, and he shared it freely.

Today, I’m asking for your help in honoring his legacy and fulfilling the dream he worked so hard for. His wife, his stepson, and their little girl, Alena, deserve the chance to come to America and build the life he envisioned for them in the home he prepared.
