Friends of Casey's Ice Pond Park (Woodward Pines) is renovating and planting trees in the park in May 2025. We have a permit to tap the fire hydrant for water, but we need a backflow preventer installed, costing about $1,000.

Our volunteer Spring planting on May 10, 2025, brought a diverse group to the park. We spread woodchips, removed invasive vines and planted over 30 trees and shrubs. We also had a fun time enjoying the sun and interactions between friends and families.

We also would like to plant the first mini-forest in Chestnut Hill in the fall of 2025. Additional plant material is about $1,000.

We would appreciate any help you can give to support these efforts.

Thank you!!
