A Passaic Fire family member recently experienced a devastating tragedy when their home was completely destroyed by a fire. In a matter of moments, everything they owned was lost, and tragically, the family also lost their beloved dog.

The family, including a mother, her husband, and their two sons, were directly impacted by the fire and are now facing the difficult reality of starting over. The fire occurred during the holiday season, a time typically centered around family, comfort, and togetherness, making this loss even more difficult. What should have been a time of celebration has instead become a period of uncertainty, displacement, and rebuilding.

As members of the fire service, we understand that the challenges do not end when the flames are extinguished. The days, weeks, and months ahead will require securing temporary housing, replacing basic necessities, and beginning the long process of recovery. The loss of a home and a cherished pet is life-altering, and rebuilding takes time, support, and stability.

This GoFundMe has been created by Passaic Fire Local 13 and Local 213 to provide direct support to the family during this incredibly difficult time. Donations will help cover emergency housing, clothing, essential living expenses, and other urgent recovery needs.
