Cherral Evans' GFM with a Twist
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Cherral Evans, and I am trying to raise money to start my business. My business has been registered in Virginia since January 2025, but I have not been able to open because the state needs to have 90 days' worth of working capital in a bank account before issuing a license for me to operate legally. [12VAC35-105-40. Application requirements... 2. Documentation of working capital to include: a. Funds or a line of credit sufficient to cover at least 90 days of operating expenses if the provider is a corporation, unincorporated organization or association, a sole proprietor, or a partnership].
I am God-fearing and I am not trying to scam anyone. If there is any way I can repay the money, I would/will instead of crowdfunding. If my credit were good enough to just take out a loan, I would not be on this platform, so this is like a last resort. I was on another crowdfunding platform and although it was "verified" and legitimate, it seemed as if I was being scammed. I called myself investing in my business and getting the seed money from rich investors, but I am not sure what I just experienced. I would not recommend anyone using this type of platform I am going to describe because it seems like you are actually dealing with bots/AI. Out of 75 people/investors you reach out to, perhaps 3 will respond back... one asked me to call him on a disconnected line - go figure. First, there is/was a $300 monthly fee for the crowdfunding platform; second, you have to expose your business plan to the investors; and third, it was as if everyone that claimed they were going to help did more harm. Instead of actually giving or loaning the funds, the investors run your credit then later tell you your score is not 700 or above - then there's another excessive, unnecessary inquiry. What the (3) investors failed to realize is if I could get a traditional loan, I would not be on a crowdfund platform. They did not ask me how much my credit score was (636); they did not ask me how I lost my house to foreclosure after the death of my 20-year-old son and a long bout with depression. And in order to help with my deceased son's two-month-old baby, I went back to school and ended up with $175K in student debt and NO job.
Now, I have a business plan to employ myself as well as many others, but the state requires proof of funds before I get a job, so I need help.
The Bible states:
"...the things you ask in prayer, having faith, you will receive." Matthew 21:22
"You desire, and yet you do not have... You do not have because of your not asking." James 4:2
"Until now you have not asked... Ask and you will receive..." John 16:24
If you have made it this far, you probably realize I have no problem paying back a loan (if someone would give me one). I will be running a business, and I plan to make a profit which will help me pay back the donated money. Call it GoFundMe with a twist - in the section where I thank you for the donation - I will leave details how I can pay you back in a few months after I am established. Remember my business will not only supply jobs in the area but also help seniors and disabled adults in the Hampton Roads community.
I would like to thank you for your time and once more, please donate to my business getting licensed; any amount helps. And please feel free to forward my GoFundMe to friends and family members.
God Bless You
Company Background
JoEtta's Blessing was created due to the love and kindness Joseph (Joe) and Luetta (Etta) Johnson provided their family members in their three-bedroom home. In 1970 Joseph worked as a longshoreman not only providing for his wife and two teenaged sons but also taking in three of their daughters and their families at the same time. The oldest daughter had a husband and two children, the middle daughter had a husband and three children, and the youngest daughter had three children. At the ages of 70 and 57 Joe and Etta simultaneously had 17 people living in their 3-bedroom home. Joe and Etta eventually helped their family members become self-sufficient and learn to live independently.
Caregiving is not an easy task. Caregivers deserve Me-time. JoEtta’s Blessing LLC allows Caregivers to take timeout to handle their wellness. We have a large staff that offers love and kindness while the Caregiver gets the rest they need. We also offer a professional setting for seniors and disabled people to engage and receive companionship daily.
