Shrimp Basket has started this fundraiser for Chef Donnell Stallworth because so many people have reached out online and by calling our restaurants asking how they can support him.

Over the past several days, we’ve received an overwhelming number of messages, comments, and phone calls asking the same thing:

“How can we give to Donnell?”

This GoFundMe was created in direct response to that outpouring of support.

Chef Donnell Stallworth has become a symbol of what putting people first can look like when it’s more than a job - it’s heart, awareness, and the willingness to step up for someone else. At Shrimp Basket, we have a simple value we try to live by every day: People Matter. Donnell didn’t just talk about that value, he lived it, and his actions have inspired people far beyond our dining room. Many have asked for a way to say thank you in a meaningful way.

This fundraiser is a chance for the community - neighbors, guests, and everyone moved by Donnell’s story - to support him directly.
