Our lives were forever changed on February 18, 2025. My brother, Charlie Fox, suffered a massive heart attack that took him from us so quickly and unexpectedly at the age of 42. He was headed to work like normal, but wasn’t feeling well and sent a message to a coworker to let them know he was going to the emergency room. A young man witnessed the accident, pulled over, and called 911. He was found unresponsive, no pulse in his company truck along the road. Paramedics performed CPR on site, in the ambulance numerous of times , and then in the ER for over an 1 hour 1/2!! Once he was stable enough he went into surgery, which is where they found that he had 90% blockage in his main artery in 2 different places. The doctor told us he had suffered the unfortunate fatal widowmaker heart attack. He put two stents in along with a pump to work as his heart. He coded several times and after surgery his blood pressure dropped dangerously low and they told us his organs were shutting down. We were told to imagine Charlie standing with us looking at his body. We knew what Charlie would want, so my Dad had to make the very difficult decision to say no more CPR as we had done everything that we possibly could and we knew Charlie would have not wanted to make it past the scene or the ER and us have a traumatic few days of him not responding or anything to anyone. Sadly, he had suffered moderate to severe brain damage and wasn’t coming back to us. Once his 3 boys and some remaining family made it to the hospital and were able to say goodbye the medical team explained to our family that they had done everything and he was getting worse by the second. As we all gathered around his boys and watched Charlie pass peacefully, he was no longer in pain! We were surrounded by so much love, and we have faith that Charlie is no longer suffering and is in heaven with our Lord and savior!! Life here on earth without him will never be the same. Charlie’s sudden passing has affected our whole family, but especially my dear nephews who now have to go through life without their Dad at the age of 15, 14, and 9! Charlie proudly served his country as a US Soldier for many years and deployed to Iraq twice where he saw combat. He worked so hard as a single dad for his boys and everyone knew they were his whole entire world!! He was also a wonderful son, brother, uncle, coworker, and friend, but his most cherished name was Dad. His boys meant so much to him and all he wanted for them was to grow and thrive, and have a successful life. Please consider helping with the unexpected bills and expenses our family is facing and for the future needs of his boys whom meant the world to him. Every donation, every dollar, every share, and every prayer means so much to our family as we navigate through the most difficult time of our lives. We will be sure to honor Charlie’s memory, and carry out his legacy in the lives of his 3 sons! Thank you all so much from the bottom of our hearts. God bless you all!
