The Chaffee Historical Society is asking for your help.
The furnace has gone kaput in our town's sweet little museum. It's too cold for us to hold meetings in the museum, and it's too cold to allow visitors. We're also in danger of frozen pipes as the winter temperatures continue to drop.
We are now faced with the unfortunate necessity of replacing the unit. To do so will be quite expensive. The cost of the new furnace will be $4300. Luckily, we've found a generous person to install it for only $500, but this is still a huge cost for us. As we are a non-profit organization, this expense will impact our operational costs significantly.
If you feel moved to do so, we are accepting donations to help with the cost of replacing our furnace. We greatly appreciate all donations, big or small. Remember, this museum belongs to the whole town, and our goal is to be able to preserve our city's history and make it accessible to everyone.
