Our lives changed forever after Cesar went into the emergency room on a Saturday afternoon for stomach pain, and days later was diagnosed with colon cancer. That week, he underwent four-plus hours of surgery to remove the mass that the surgeon called one of the most aggressive and severe blockages he'd seen. Almost two weeks later, he was able to return home.
This is, however, only the beginning of this journey. He'll need to undergo chemotherapy to minimize the risk of the cancer spreading throughout his body. Recovery has been slow and challenging, plagued with pain. Our family is praying and staying as positive as possible. But some of the challenges are beyond our abilities, including the financial challenges.
As most of you know, I've spent the last 22 years investing in my career and providing support for my clients. Now it's time to be more present for Cesar and our children. This has been a very difficult time for them, understandably. We're making every effort to provide them with consistency so that they're able to continue to enjoy their high school years. I'll be taking a step back from my practice, which will have a financial impact on our family.
Which is why we're humbly asking for any support that you can assist with. No amount is too small, and we're grateful for anything you can give. We completely understand if you're unable to donate but are hopeful that you'll be able to share the link.
Thank you for taking the time to read about our story and for any support. We're eternally grateful.
