My names Peter Kemp I live here in Middleborough with my wife and 3 children.

I'm reaching out for help regarding the current condition of the historic South Middleborough Cemetery. A Cemetery that rests war Veterans, (with 1 being my Grandfather) entire family's, children, and more recently my little brother Andrew Kemp who passed away tragically in March.

This morning myself, my father and my brothers voluntarily put in some work. We cleared hanging branches, mowed some over grown areas and also discovered someone had dumped 3 giant bags of household trash in the back of the cemetery which I thanked the firefighters at the South station for allowing me to utilize the stations dumpster.

There is very little to no budget for this cemetery. Seeing the condition it is in naturally for me and those close to me is unsettling. My intentions with this GoFundMe page is to use donations to restore the property to the condition in which it should stand. Your donation would help me plant flowers, repair/reface the old sign, ensure no Veterans American flag is ever damaged or faded and hopefully add a standing plaque sharing the history of the cemetery.

Putting in the work this morning at the cemetery was not easy emotionally but in some way helpful as I mourn the recent loss of my brother. And with your donations I would like to continue to restore the property.

Thank you so much for all your donations. I stopped at the cemetery today to take some pictures of damaged areas and spots that need attention. I'm anxious to get started and with your help it's made it all much easier. I've shared the progress of the page to the properties care taker who has tried her best for many years and she was brought to tears.
