Support Cassy's Fight for Legend's Adoption

My name is Cassy. I have two boys. I’ve been raising my youngest, Legend since he was 5 months old. His birth mother, who is no relation to me, I didn’t know and had never met, asked me to watch him for a week. I agreed and when I picked him up and made it back to my house, 4 hours away, she called and said “I put his birth certificate and social in one of his bags, don’t bring him back I don’t want him.” Blocked me and that’s how I met my son Legend.

I’ve raised Legend on my own, I’ve loved him since 10/8/2021 which is the day I met him. It’s been 3.5 years now and he’s about to turn 4 years old. I’ve done everything for him as a loving mother would her own birth child. He’s my baby boy and I’d do anything for him. Like you would your own. All expenses, I take care of that. Doctor visits, I handle that. Daycare, I pay that. Clothes, shoes, toys, everything you can think of, I take care of it all. I’ve never asked her for a dime and don’t want nothing from her. The only thing I ever wanted was to adopt him so it’s on paper that he’s mine and I can continue to protect and love him.

Theres many different occasions that he was put in danger in her care before I met him. There was one visit with him that she had that I can speak on because I was present. I won’t give too much detail but she had him in her hands behind a locked door threatening to throw him off an 11 floor balcony.

I now am in the courts and fighting her for custody, termination and adoption. After 3.5 years of Not showing up for her birth son, she shows up to court. Why? I don’t know but I have to protect him and I won’t stop fighting for him. If it’s out of revenge or spite, it’s not what’s best for the child by all means. I saved up $8k to start our process. When we went to court the first time she got it reset. Every time it gets reset I owe another $6k. I’ll be going back for the third time in April. I owe an estimate of $12.5k right now. My attorney and his team are one of the best in the business. It’s not fair that I’ve been ready to tell my story in the court from day one and resets is all I’m getting. So im asking for help to keep this going because attorneys don’t work for free and I’m struggling to pay them to continue to fight for him. If I can’t pay then who will fight for Legends life. Please help me continue our process to finish this and by Gods will we will be together forever in Jesus name.
